Jeff BaldwinJeffrey L. Baldwin

Jeff Baldwin has appeared with the Players in Annie Get Your Gun as Frank Butler, A Few Good Men as Lt. Col. Nathan Jessep, Fiddler on the Roof as Tevye and Daddy’s Dyin’ (Who’s Got The Will). A professional Actor for more than twenty years, he is now the Director at the Texas Renaissance Festival. He has performed with Theatre Under the Stars, Houston Shakespeare Festival, Stages Repertory Theatre and Strand Street Theatre among others. Jeff is on the Board of Directors .


Travis BryantTravis Bryant

Travis Bryant has been with the Crighton Players since 2002.  His directing credits include A Few Good Men, Annie Get Your Gun and the upcoming Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.  He has appeared in numerous Players productions including Camelot (Arthur), Evita (Che), Big River (The Duke), All My Sons (George Deever),  and Jekyll and Hyde (Utterson).  He is a past President of the Crighton Players Board of Directors and currently is the Crighton Players Technical Director.


Larry CalhounLarry Calhoun

Larry Calhoun has been a member of the Crighton Players for over 29 years. He has appeared in and directed many productions for the Players including Days of Wine and Roses, Jesus Christ Superstar, Camelot, Evita, Big River, Smokey Joe’s Cafe’, Man of LaMancha and The Crucible.

He is a past president of the Players’ Board of Directors and is the Downtown Manager for the City of Conroe.


Marty CraigMarty Craig

Marty Craig has directed innumerable shows for the Crighton Players and has served on both the Players’ Board of Directors and the Crighton Foundation Board.

Her most recent productions include, Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story, My Fair Lady, Oklahoma, Jekyll & Hyde, South Pacific, The Music Man, Guys and Dolls, and Grease. She is a past President of the Crighton Players Board of Directors.

Marty is also known for her beautiful artwork on sets. She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and lives in Conroe with her husband Ron.


Terry Lynn HaleTerry Lynn Hale

Terry Lynn Hale has had a love affair with the Crighton Players for over 21 years and in that time she has worn every hat, including that of Props Mistress, Actress, Stage Manager, and Director.

She is the President of the Crighton Players Board of Directors. Some of her most memorable roles with the Crighton Players include Philadelphia Story as Margaret Lord, Cemetery Club as Lucille, All My Sons as Kate Keller, The Crucible as Mrs. Ann Putnam and Noises Off as Dotty Otley.


Don HamptonDon Hampton

After an apprenticeship at Houston’s Alley Theatre, and several seasons touring Europe, Don Hampton returned to Texas and graduated from the University of Texas.  He spent 23 years working on stage, television, and film in New York City.  In 1981 he founded the Tyson Studio, a 75 seat off-off Broadway space used by many prominent NY acting teachers and the home of his production company, Empire Stage Players producing new American plays.

With the Crighton Players he has appeared in the title role of Macbeth, as Eddie in Lost in Yonkers, as Otto Frank in Diary of Anne Frank and as Joe Keller in All My Sons.

He is a past President of the Crighton Players Board of Directors and he has directed Philadelphia Story, What the Butler Saw, A Christmas Story, Night of the Iguana, and Daddy’s Dyin’ (Who’s Got The Will?)

Don is represented for film and television by Pastorini-Bosby Agency.


Michael HayesMichael Hayes

Michael Hayes has been involved with the Crighton Players for many years but has only recently returned to directing.  He has blessed us with his many other talents including acting, set design, as well as hair and makeup design.  Some of Michael’s memorable roles for the Crighton Players are Ben Franklin in 1776, Mr. Applegate in Damn Yankees, and Sancho Panza in Man of LaMancha.

Michael has a BFA from Stephen F. Austin.  Michael and his wife, Sue, live in Cleveland.


Carole LamontCarole Lamont

Carole Lamont has been involved in theatre since the age of 7 and made her stage debut at Camp Zama, Japan.  She received a Minor in Theatre from TCU and operated a theatre for 5 years in the 1960 area.

Her roles with the Crighton Players include Ado Annie in Oklahoma, Lotus Blossom in The Teahouse of the August Moon, Evalita Turnover in Daddy’s Dyin’ (who’s Got The Will?), Suzy Hendrix in Wait Until Dark, and Dolly Tate in Annie Get Your Gun.

Carole is a former member of the Crighton Players Board of Directors.  We welcome her as a new Crighton Players play director and look forward to her productions on the Owen stage.


Becky TeagueBecky Teague

Becky Teague  has volunteered in many roles for the Crighton Players including, director, stage manager, assistant director, and actor.

Becky has directed A Christmas Carole: Scrooge and Marley, Miracle on 34th Street and It’s a Wonderful Life for the Crighton Players.  Becky teaches for Klein ISD and lives in Spring.


Grace ThompsonGrace Thompson

Grace Thompson has grown with the Little Theatre since joining the company in 1971.  She has served on the Crighton Players Board of Directors several times, holding every office at least once.

Grace has appeared on stage in Arsenic and Old Lace as Aunt Abby, The Diary of Anne Frank as Mrs. Van Daan, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof as Big Mama, Streetcar Named Desire as Stella, Gigi as Aunt Alicia, and in Gypsy as Tessie Tura.

Her directing credits include; The Fantasticks, Damn Yankees, A Flea in Her Ear, The Cemetery Club, Anastasia, Comedy of Errors, The Uninvited and Scrooge.

Grace is an active member of the Auxiliary at Conroe Regional Medical Center Hospital, a MENSA, a supporter of AACT and theatre for children.  She holds a BA in Theatre from Beloit College and is also a published poet and author.


Bill Torgan Beard HSBill Torgan

Bill Torgan became involved with the Crighton Players in 1997. He has held a lot of volunteer jobs with the Crighton Players including Membership Chairman, Season Ticket Chairman, Board Member, Past Board President, and Webmaster. Bill is currently President-Elect on the Board of Directors

He’s been fortunate to act in many Crighton Players productions including The King and I as King, Laura as Detective McPherson, Love Letters as Andy, Pump Boys and Dinettes as Jim/guitar player, and The Crucible as Ezekiel Cheever just to name a few.

Bill co-directed Fiddler on the Roof, and directed Mister Roberts and Death by Chocolate for the Crighton Players.


Joe Viser

Joe Viser is one of the original members of the Crighton Players and had the distinction of directing the first Crighton Players production performed on the Crighton Stage, The Last Meeting of the Knights of the White Magnolia.  He also had the distinction of directing the first Crighton players production on the Owen Theatre stage, Wait Until Dark.

Some of the shows he has directed for the Players are; Streetcar Named Desire, Lost in Yonkers, and All My Sons.

Joe has also performed in many of the Players productions such as, It’s A Wonderful Life as Mr. Potter, Laura as Mr. Lydecker and he was Mr. Van Daan in Diary of Anne Frank.

Joe is a published poet and lives in Shenandoah with his wife Susan. Joe is currently the Crighton Players Theatre Manager at the Owen Theatre and is serving as our Artistic Director.


Jim WalkerJim Walker

Jim Walker has been an integral part of the Crighton Players since 1976, during which time he has served on the Crighton Players Board of Directors, directed numerous shows, appeared in many productions, and volunteered in every other possible capacity. He is currently serving on the Crighton Players Board of Directors.

Oklahoma was his first show in 1976 and he also appeared in the 2006 season’s return of that stage favorite.  He has directed Crighton Players production favorites such as Steel Magnolias, Arsenic and Old Lace, M*A*S*H, Smoke on the Mountain, Radio TBS, and Winnie the Pooh just to name a few.

Jim is interested in the history of the Texas Revolution and is a member o the Texas Archeological Society.
