Information on Volunteering to Usher

Please smile & be friendly & courteous. Ushers are sometimes the first people patrons see when they come into the theatre. We would like for “theatre going” to be a pleasant experience at the Owen Theatre.

Usher Attire

Nice clothes – no blue jeans or tank tops.  Preferably, nice/casual or nice/dressy.  Our ushers represent the Crighton Players, therefore, we would appreciate everyone to look their best.

Usher Duties

Greet patrons, tear tickets, hand out programs, assist patrons in finding seats.  During intermission, stand at auditorium door to prevent food & drink from being taken into the auditorium.  Report to the Usher In Charge.

Usher In Charge

The Usher-in-Charge will be responsible for placing the Ushers, the Concession Stand and Will-Call Tickets.
