Good news, Roger Ormiston and Scotti Smith will be having a class on theatrical lighting.
The Board of Directors has approved an adult education class to be presented at The Owen Theatre on theater lighting. This class will cover hardware installation and maintenance, board programming and operation, lighting design techniques – everything a person needs to know to design, setup and program a show in our theater. While we will focus on the hardware and specifics of The Owen, we will also discuss general practices and techniques that can be applied in any venue.
This will be a six month class, with sessions every-other Saturday morning. It will be taught by Roger Ormiston and Scotti Smith. The cost will be $10/session or $100 total if paid in advance.
We are taking names of those who are interested in taking this course. The class size will be small to allow for sufficient hands-on training and if there are more people interested than the class can accommodate the initial students will be selected based on the best interests of the Crighton Players organization.
The dates for this class will be determined soon, but for now we are seeing who would be interested.
If you or someone you know may be interested in attending this course, please use the contact form on this website to let us know.
