In an effort to speed up the loading of pages on the website I have reduced the size of each page by making the pictures that load smaller and relegating the navigation and blog information widgets to pages other than the home page. This allows the site to operate with only two side columns instead of three. I also changed the logo to be a little more “artsy” and renamed the site to reflect our venue better. The website can now be pulled up by entering “crightonplayers.org”,”crightonplayers.com”,”owentheatre.com”, or “owentheatre.org” (the www. is optional also.)
In the days and weeks to come I will be pouring over the code to see if I can find other ways to make the site load faster for a better user experience.
